Salts and Solubility 1: introduction to salts (Inquiry Based)
Title

Salts and Solubility 1: introduction to salts (Inquiry Based) |
Description
|
I have written a series of five activities using the Soluble Salts simulation to be used throughout the year. This is the first in the series. I used this in first unit before Naming Compounds. (Section 2.8 Zumdahl). I found this activity helped students visualize compounds; many of them referred to the colored balls as they made sense of formula writing. Learning Goals: Students will be able to: Determine the chemical formula by observation of ionic ratios in solutions. Relate the simulation scale to real lab equipment through illustration and calculations. Predict the chemical formula of compounds with a variety of ion charge combinations
I could not upload the Word version, if you need it just email me; it's 4.5M |
